:: KUELAP FORTRESS
The gigantic Kuelap Fortress is located in the district of Tingo, province of Luya, department of Amazonas, in a height of 3.000 meters over the sea level; in the top of a high rocky eminence of a branch of the central mountains of Peru. On the foot of this hill, the waters of affluent the Utcubamba River of the Marañon run, by a deep and narrow tempered climate valley.
The perfect organization of the Chachapoyas culture could raise up in the century XII D.C. an imposing mass of 10, 000 tons of carved stone. Its form is of ellipse extended oriented from north to the South and east. :: KARAJIA SARCOPHAGUS
The Sarcophagus of Karajia belonges to the Archaeological Complex of Chipuric within the Culture Chacha (1100 to 1300 D.C). It is characterized due the unique form of burial in the world to its dead people, they appear in small formed groups from 04 to 08, goes laterally joined and leaning in their backs to the rock of the cave. It interesting to call the attention that the sarcophagus consist of two parts head and busts worked in compact form and the funeral capsule that appears to the contour of the body. The head this crowned by a hairdo or skull trophy, these sarcophagus are also called by the villagers: Purunmachos.

:: REVASH
Funeral center that belonged to a parallel archaeological complex to the culture Chacha (1.100 to 1.300 DC) conformed by rectangular constructions (Chulpas) of 1, 2 and 3 floors. It exists rest of ropes, pens networks, necklaces, ceramics bones, etc. that apparently in their time were offerings to their deads. Most of these "funeral houses" has a ceiling of two falls and they are located under the shelter of the rock. :: HUANCAS
It is located to 5 km of the city of Chachapoyas, it is an Historical Town, "mitmajcuna Huanca" brought by the Incas from the Valley of Mantaro. :: PURUN LLACTA
It is located in the district of Cheto, Province of Chachapoyas. It is an habitacional center with urban characteristics, that belonged to the Reyno of the Chachapoyas, their constructions are made of stone with mud mortar and with decorations of geometric figures in the walls. It has an approximated extension of 65 Has. approx. Its antiquity dates from years 1.100 to 1.300 years D.C. time of blossoming of this great Pre-Inca culture. :: YALAPE
Located in the district of Levanto, 21 km from the city of Chachapoyas, it is an archaeological Complex with constructions of joined stones with mud mortar. It was an urban center that dates from years 1.100 to 1.300 of the Christian era. It belongs to the Culture of the Chachapoya and counts with an extension of 4 hectares In the South and Southeastern part it still exist retaining walls with rhomboid frisos and zic zac.

:: OLAN
Located in the town of San Pedro de Utac, 3 hours from Chachapoyas. From there you walk by near 30 minutes. It is a populated center with 500 circular buildings that belongs to the culture of the Chachapoyas. Its is the most artistic populated center by the impressive thing in their decorations.

:: LEYMEBAMBA
Located 3 hours at the south of Chachapoyas, in 1475 it was occupied by Tupac Yupanqui. In this place was celebrated the party of the "Inti Raymi"; for this reason the Inca Huayna Capac denominated is like "Raimipampa". It was founded by the Spanish people on 1575. At the present time it is an agricultural cattle dealer zone. Here it exists a Museum with objects brought from the mausoleums of the Lagoon of the Condors, in the environs of Leymebamba it exist archaeological rest like: "La Congona, La Petaca, Diablo Huasi", etc.
LEYMEBAMBA MUSEUM: Located 10 minutes from Leymebamba in the way to Celendín. It keeps more than 2000 objects and around 200 mummies brought from the mausoleums of the Lagoon of the Condors. The museum in addition exhibits, ceramics, textiles and weapons, it is directed by the Malqui Center, institution dedicated to the archaeological and anthropological investigation of the old Peruvian cultures.
VALLEY OF CHILCHOS: Located 10 hrs. in mule from Leymebamba, it is a little explored zone, in his cloudy forests still hide the vestiges of curacazgo of the CHILCHO, a small sample of his existence are the Mausoleums of the "Dorado", baptized thus by the people of the place. They are buildings constructed under rocky shades, some of them located in inaccessible places, more than 200 m. over the ground level. :: GRAN VILAYA
It is located in the west of the Kuelap fortress, it is conformed by populated centers like "La Escalera, la Pirquilla, Cacahuasha, Mortero, el Obispo, Paxamarca, Lanche, el Secreto, etc". Due its great extension it is calculated that it exists near to 5000 circular and rectangular constructions of limestone with decorations. The route is full of adventure that begin from the Valley of Huaylla Belen, the place is propitious for trekkings and tourism adventure. This route allows us to finish in the Kuelap fortress.

:: MAUSOLEUM OF THE CONDORS LAGOON
Archaeological complex made up of six Inca mausoleums showing characteristics of the Chachapoyas Culture decorated with cave paintings, those were found near a hundred of funeral mummies, fine weaves, ceramics, carvings woods, quipus, decorated "mates", crowns and diverse objects of great value. In the surrounding there is an impressive lagoon of black bottom. Here it is possible to fish and sailing in a boat. It shows in addition typical vegetation of high forest.
This is located in the district of Leymebamba, in the Province of Chachapoyas. In order to arrive here you need to prepare a trip with the the suitable implements , after a trekking of 45 km approx. in a 12 hours by a road until arriving at Lagoon of the Condors.

:: LA CONGONA
It is a habitacional set located in the district of Leymebamba, Province of Chachapoyas, constructed of wrought stone, placed in symmetrical form with mud mortar. External decoration with rhomboid decoration and in the interior, quadrangular holes . These constructions dates from years 1.100 to 1.350 D.C. and belonged to the culture of the Chachapoyas, for their location is thought that it was a military bunker. In the surrondings can be observed a variety of orchids, agricultural cultives and vegetation of the place. In order to arrive to the Congona you need to walk 2:30 hours from Leymebamba, to arrive to the complex.

:: OTHERS: "LA JALCA GRANDE", "MACRO", that is a habitacional set pre-Inca. Macro is located to 50 meters of the right margin of the Utcubamba river. "EL PONGO DE RENTEMA", "PICTURES OF YAMON", that are located in the district of Yamón in the Province of Utcubamba. As much the rocks as the drawings are extraordinary vestiges of the first settlers in this zone, they has 10mts. of height approximately and are surrounded by Huarangos. "LAGUNA POMACOCHA", this is located in the eastern margin of the mountain of the andes and in the north of Chachapoyas, the beautiful lagoon of Pomacocha is located in the town of the same name at 2150 m.o.s.l. height . It is one of the bigguest of Peru with an extension of 12km2 and it has a depth that can reach the 80 meters. Its waters have a wonderful bluish green color and in its borders they grow "totoras, zarcillos y enredaderas". LA CHINATA WATERFALLS, THE QUIOCTA CAVERNS, that is located in an annex of the locality of Lamud. BELEN VALLEY, located in the South part of the province of Luya, extensive valley with an impressive view in which the Huaylla river that goes from the south to north can be observed.
